First Look: The Electric All-Night Party Tent

Hey, I know how to camp dirt-and-shovel style. I made it to Eagle Scout, after all, in the days when Army surplus was the standard gear choice.

Hey, I know how to camp dirt-and-shovel style. I made it to Eagle Scout, after all, in the days when Army surplus was the standard gear choice.

But there's nothing wrong with a little luxury, which is why I'm looking forward to trying out the N!ergy tent recently delivered by outdoor goods specialist Eureka. The tent has built-in electric cabling and three 12-volt outlets that connect to a recharageable battery.

Eureka supplied a fan and reading light to go with the system, and a basic power inverter will make all manner of low-amp goodies ready for the semi-outdoors.

Look for a full review as soon as I can run away from home for the night.

And once I figure out what electrical gear to take with me. A laptop and coffee maker are obvious. And maybe an iron to tackle pile of shirts awaiting attention? The retired Lava Lamp in the attic, to trip out the bears?
