BMW's upcoming coupe and convertible versions of the 6 Series, the more sportier of the luxury carmaker's Series models, seems to be well, curvy. BMW calls this the "sculptural" look, while touting the new 6 Series "powerfully-curved surfaces" (which the coupe's roof makes brings out).
Meanwhile, speed, power and technology, are apparent, but nothing seems to really stand out, either. The 4.8-liter engine can crank up to 360 horsepower and a peak torque of 360 lb-ft. But while the coupe's acceleration of zero to 60 miles per hour in 5.3 seconds is definitely not unfast, it is bested by competing models, such as the Porsche 911 Turbo and Jaguar XKR.
The automatic distance control--which automatically maintains the distances of your car from the one in front of you--and electronic stability system are included as well, which are almost becoming standard in luxury-class cars. An interesting safety feature is how the steering wheel vibrates when you veer out of the lane.
The price hasn't been communicated year, but I am betting it will be upwards towards the $100,000 mark.
