Those of us who have not been forced to read through Dante's Inferno can find it rather heady Sunday afternoon reading. It's certainly worth it: medieval literature hardly gets more entertaining and gruesome than this, but it is not an easy read. Luckily, the Eastern Kentucky University's philosophy department offers an excellent Flash primer of the geography of Dante's hell, the characters he meets and the delineation of the damned. No longer will you be the ignorant lout when drunken midnight conversations turn to the works and theologies of Aligheri.
