Because what NASA really needs is a better public relations program – and not, say, a coherent strategy, inspired leadership, or a responsibly managed budget – the space agency has produced a video meant to inspire excitement about returning to the moon and building a moon base. I have to admit, the sci fi theme music and pounding drums do make putting a half-dozen rounded white tanks on the lunar surface seem pretty thrilling. Maybe not $100 billion worth of thrilling. But still pretty cool.
