If the marketing hyperbole is to be believed, the podXtreme puts out window-rattling sound that belies its tiny form factor. The reasoning behind the claim is that the speaker is powered by its own lithium ion battery instead of siphoning the juice from your mp3 player. The podXtreme plugs right into the earbud jack and when not in use, it can be collapsed accordion style for even easier storage. There's plenty of reason to be skeptical, but for just $30 you can afford to let your curiosity get the best of you.
