This is a typical sex exploitation film from the early 1930s - complete with wild parties, sex out of wedlock, lesbianism, etc. A chorus girl's exposure to the "casting couch" also exposes her to syphilis. The film then focuses on the effects this lifestyle and disease have on her marriage.
An excellent moral if I ever read one: if you want to have a good marriage, don't wed a syphilitic lesbian.
