Porsche says the convertible version of its 911 Turbo is roughly just as fast as the coupe, which Porsche says will blast from zero to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds, with the help of the Tiptronic S transmission option.
While its max speed is 192 mph, I can't image going that fast with the top down (for that matter, I can't imagine driving that fast period, even on a race track).
I can't wait to see the rear spoiler in action, which pops out at speeds of 75 mph or faster. Porsche claims the spoiler makes the car the only standard series convertible that generates negative lift at the rear axle.
Porsche did not disclose U.S. pricing or its launch date across the pond, while it will retail for a basic price of a cool €126,600 ($172,416) when it goes on sale in Europe this September.
