Good mileage can come in a really small package, at least if you believe some reports. The diminutive Mini Cooper has been overhauled with hybrid-like features such as regenerative braking and an automatic shutoff that turns off the engine when it is not needed.
Emissions will be down 14 percent for the Mini, and the revised model is expected to get nearly 60 miles per gallon, according to Motortorque and JustAuto. I'm doubtful of that number considering it would be close to double the current mileage and would likely require a larger battery, so maybe something was lost in the translation between the UK and US.
I haven't seen any official word from Mini yet, so proceed with caution.
