Although there's no official word on Last.fm's blog as of this posting, it looks like the rumors are true. Our Web 2.0 allies across the pond are adding music videos to their already successful social networking/audiophile mashup.

Eliot over at Listening Post was able to get us the skinny yesterday, but we can't help but wonder if this will finally produce death rattles from clunkier apps like Yahoo Music's LAUNCHcast, and...well, practically everything over at MTV.

With impressive features like an 128kbps audio stream (Youtube's is
64kbps), continuous playback and an ad-free stream this is going to be one to watch. The buzz in the blogosphere is that the upgrade is due sometime this week, so we'll keep you posted.
