PS3 Fanboy has the details of the new PS3 1.80 firmware update to be released today, and this is what it will bring:

Full 1080p upscaling for DVDs, PS1 and PS2 games. You'll need to be hooked up with an HDMI connection to watch DVDs this way, but that's a fairly standard (if annoying) inconvenience.

PSP Remote Play. If you update your PSP to version 3.5 (coming soon), you can stream content from your PS3 over the internet to your portable, Slingbox style.

Photo printing, which works with some Epson printers.

Two-way game save transfers between PS3/2/1. This is an improvement over the previous one-way only option.

DNLA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatibility. DNLA is a technology to stream content around your home network.

All in all a pretty sweet new set of features for all your PS3 owners out there. And if you find any weirdness when you update, be sure to let us know in the comments.
