Machinima artist and ToM reader Alessandro Cima of Candlelight Stories writes in, pointing us to a series of three incredible videos he did interpreting the works of Bram Stoker. Alessandro writes:

I probably should have sent a note about these a year ago because I think they might be of interest to Table of Malcontents readers. I wrote and animated these three machinima movies in 2006. The first one is a serious adaptation of Bram Stoker's short story, "Dracula's Guest." That one got BoingBoinged and mentioned in a Wired.com article along with "The French Democracy" as being one of the two best machinimas made with 'The Movies' software. I decided to continue the story as a little series.

Ultimately, machinima as a technique wears out quickly on me and leaves me wanting the much finer control of animating in Flash, so I probably will not do more of it until someone produces a real software tool specifically designed for filmmakers who want total control over environment, cameras, character design, and editing.

The other two, Dracula's Message and Dracula's Prisoner, are only available on Archive.org. Incredible work.
