Europe's Euro NACP says electronic stability control (ESC), which applies brakes to individual wheels to prevent cars or trucks from from skidding, needs to become a standard option in Europe. According to its stats, disparities exist in its availability around Europe. Cars and trucks in the UK, The Netherlands, Greece, Malta and Ireland are the least likely to have the technology in Europe, while vehicles in Denmark, Sweden, and Germany top the list.
ESC should be mandated in Europe, Euro NACP says. According to its stats, ESC could have prevented one in five car and truck accident deaths last year. This is a sobering stat. I wonder what percentage of cars have ESC in the U.S.
