The alleged madam at the heart of a sex ring scandal that has set Washington knees a tremble plans to hold an eBay auction for five one-hour interviews she did last month with an Internet radio host. The Washington Post has more here.

Deborah Jeane Palfrey, dubbed the "Washington madam," faces charges for running a D.C. escort service from her home in California. Palfrey has seized the spotlight in recent weeks with a series of publicity maneuvers. She released four years of her business phone logs (.pdf) to ABC News, which plans on outing several of her clients on an episode of 20/20 tonight. The eBay auction is her latest effort to rake muck and drum up support.

Palfrey claims her client roster is loaded with the names of powerful government insiders. Randall Tobias, an abstinence-promoting Deputy Secretary of State, resigned last week after being linked to the erotic rub-down service. And a legal secretary at a powerful D.C. law firm was placed on administrative leave yesterday after she admitted to having worked as an escort for Palfrey.

Last month, Palfrey dished more dirt to wsRadio.com, a company that produces internet talk radio shows. WsRadio.com and Palfrey have teamed up to eBay the interviews. A snippet of what they include, from wsRadio.com's website:

"In recently taped radio interviews, Ms. Palfrey describes the phone records of 10,000 plus names known as "The List". “The List”, forty six pounds of telephone bills, is comprised of 150,000 to 200,000 incoming and outgoing calls, which were logged during Palfrey’s thirteen years in business."
