Why fill up all that space in your car when your sound system could be pumping tunes right into your ears?
That seems to be the thinking behind a new patent application from high-end sound specialists Bose.
The proposal is to mount speakers for a surround-sound system in a headrest attached to a seat. Car seats are the main target, but office chairs and other types of seating are a possibility given the correct environment. The main application is entertainment, but the system could also connect to a telephone.
