This week seven SUVs and small trucks in southeast Portland, Oregon and neighboring Milwaukie have been set on fire. Police are interviewing suspects now, but the motive could be "support" for eco-terrorist Stanislas Meyerhoff who was sentenced yesterday in Eugene.
The SUVs were all smaller models that were near larger gas-guzzlers that have police wavering on whether or not this is the work of the Earth Liberation Front or some idiotic copycats.
These ELF wingnuts are the worst PR possible for people who care about climate change as it paints them as radicals. Burning a few SUVs won't discourage future purchases and wastes the energy and resources that were put into building the vehicles.
