Devastated by criticism of its sexist "naked secretary" cover, Wired magazine's top brass have apologized publicly and hired a feminist consultant to prevent further mistakes of this nature. Next month's cover will reflect Wired's new feminist sensibility. Readers will be treated to a picture of pretty boy entrepreneur Kevin Rose naked except for a laptop covering his business package. The photo illustrates a series of stories by women about female-run high tech companies manufacturing the next generation of nano-materials for molecular robots. Get the joke? It's a naked guy illustrating a story about really tiny machines made by women. The headline will be "Let's Get Small." (With all apologies to Steve Martin.)

Commenting on this unusual move, a *Wired *representative said:

We realized it was offensive and inappropriate to use a naked actress to illustrate a cover package about a male-dominated industry that regularly ignores, harrasses, and condescends to its female members. We are truly sorry, and we hope that looking at Kevin Rose naked will make everybody who read the issue sorry too.

Wow, could this herald a new era in the tech industry? Is the IT biz club house finally allowing women to enter unmolested?

Hahahaha -- you must be on crack to think that would happen in real life. It's just April Fool's Day.
