Via Warren Ellis, this LiveJournal is alleged to be that of the man who killed 33 in a shooting rampage at Virginia Tech today. The journal displays a marked obsession with firearms, death, a recent breakup, and links to his Facebook profile using the famous opening line from Lolita: Light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul.

On April 6th, Chiang is informed that he has been accepted for another semester of school, a letter that seems to be unwelcome. "guess i'm going back for more hell," he comments. On April 12th, he makes an entry with closed comments, reciting the lines from the traditional Christian marriage vows. And yesterday at 8PM, he posts a series of photos of the Russian Mosin Nagant M44, piles of them, and a young man I assume is Chiang standing next to them. Was this the gun used in the massacre?

But what's this? Shenanigans? From the 187 comments on a later entry:

For a short period of time their was a post from this user (7:00pmtoday) with a graph showing his page hits jumping from 80 to 8000 todayalong with a message of sympathy. It has now been removed. So eithersomeone has access to this account or he pulled it to continue enjoyinghis 15 minutes.
