With far less Wired-y stuff on tap than a Wired writer might wish, the Tribeca Film Fest opens tonight and runs through May 6. The big news is the menu of Spidey-3options -- a series of panel discussions, screenings of the first two Spideys, and the U.S. premiere, with the red carpet unrolling in Queens and concurrent screenings unspooling in the other four boroughs. An appropriately ginormous party for the most expensive movie in history.
I'm also hoping to see a collection of films by John Canemaker; Avida, from the Belgian duo that made the bizarro Aaltra (highly recommended for the politically incorrect); and documentaries on sci-fi writer Samuel R. Delany and comics, er, graphic novel, er, sequential art legend Will Eisner (pictured).
