GM said today its Buick Riviera concept that it unveiled this week at the Auto Shanghai car show blends in elements of the 1938 Y-Job Concept, the 1960s Le Sabre, and Electra 225 and the Riviera coupes of the 1960s and 1970s. (The '76 Le Sabre I once owned sure didn't look anyting like this). GM said it developed the model, which will be launched next year as a hybrid, with Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center
(PATAC) in China, a design and engineering joint venture between General Motors and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC).
