Deep in the mysterious annals of the marvelous Marilyn Monroe may or may not lie this filthy film. Referred to simply as "Stag Film, 1948", the reel features a slovenly slattern with a vague resemblance to Monroe, gleefully servicing a scrawny man, and herself ("¡Madre mía!" exclaims a commentor on the video's post, "¡El vibrador con el cable y todo!"), in a surprising variety of ways.
Initially there was no doubt in my mind that this was not Marilyn. The woman is sluttish and chunky, with more pendulous breasts and rectangular frame than Monroe ever had. Some of the shots of her face are remarkably convincing, however. Likewise Monroeish is a certain *bon vivance *in the lady's mannerisms, but I am hard pressed to believe with any seriousness that this is actually our girl.
