American Idol judge and British bloviater Simon Cowell expressed on-camera annoyance on Tuesday after contestant Chris Richardson wrapped up his performance with a tribute to the victims of the Virginia Tech shootings.
"My hearts and prayers go out to Virginia Tech. I have a lot of friends over there....Be strong," Richardson said.
Cowell rolled his eyes and raised his eyebrows after the statement. The incident quickly became international news and prompted denials from Cowell that he was disrespecting victims of Monday's massacre.
