Though I find it hard to believe, this trailer actually aired in 1950s movie theaters before horror flicks to hypnotize the audience into being scared. I love the electronic music and how the hypnotic swirls look as the announcer intones:

You shall enjoy being horrified . . . as you are transported into the dark sepulchres of this night . . . You may see yourself changing from the gentle person you are into a monster with dark green blood running through its veins . . . Or you may become a vampire with a deep urge within you for a refreshing drink of blood . . . warm human blood . . . You shall feel something crawling over your body that leaves cold damp impressions on your skin . . .

It's worth listening to the whole four minutes because it only gets more and more demented, with references to hallucinations and undefined "weird experiences." Did filmmakers actually believe this trailer would hypnotize and terrify audiences? Hard to say. The 1950s were a wacky time.
