Regular readers of Wired Blogs will have noticed that many of our sites, including culture blog Table of Malcontents and Cult of Mac, are getting a new look and new logos. We got ours a few months ago, and lovely though it was, today we have an unofficial fancy-pants actionscript logo, with random cogs and virulent Web 2.0 gradients and everything. It might not stay for long, mind you, but if you've got any ideas for a pretty (and pretty appropriate) design, send them to us at gadgetlabtips@gmail.com. Designs should be 1000x100. SWFs are great, but must follow the same rules as JPEGs: they must be small and not bring old computers to their knees. The best will get a prize: probably a music player or other generic gadget of some kind. Even if we keep the current logo (which you can still see on any permalink article) you'll still be a hero. A hero with a cheap, used iPod knockoff.
