Geez, Microsoft just can't catch a break.
They come up with a whizbang new operating system and deliver it within a decade of the target date, and now people are whining because the company was supposed to anticipate that customers might want to connect to that "Internet" tube thingie.
Vista suckers--err, "consumers"--in Britain are complaining that the new OS won't play nice with their broadband services. Virgin Media says it'll take weeks before it can rejigger its installation software to work with Vista.
British Telecom, meanwhile, is fielding complaints from customers discovering that Vista chokes on the Symantec security software the company includes with broadband installation packages.
