Borrowing methods used by boatbuilders, creator Friend Wood crafted this sleek and beautiful vehicle from dozens of strips of veneer, epoxy resin and elbow grease, spending thousands of hours to get the perfect finish.

Taken for a spin in the vehicle, admirer Peter Frost describes the ride:

"It included a time when he took the car up to speed on level ground, engaged neutral, and turned off the engine. The car became almost totally silent, and cruised on endlessly, seemingly without any loss of speed. A practical demonstration of the car's exceptional aerodynamics."

The Tyrane II uses a 602cc flat twin air-cooled Citroen engine, gets 70 MPG and nails a top speed of 100 MPH. It weighs only 900 pounds, and isn't for sale.

UPDATE: This was spotted by Table of Malcontents also!
