SolCool One is getting ready to launch the SolCool Millennia version 4, a sun-powered air conditioner that can cool a large room and be run off a wall socket, batteries or solar panels. No matter how you choose to use the Millenia -- which runs at a maximum of 500 watts -- SoCool claims it will significantly cut down on energy costs and, if adopted widely, it may even reduce summer power outages. It will be available next month for $3,500 installed.
