Satellite radio service Sirius has firmed up plans for it mobile video service.

The planned Backseat TV service will beam programming to backseat monitors in select Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler cars when 2008 models arrive late this year. First cars to offer the service will be land-whales such as the Town & Country and a Dodge mini-van.

The service is aimed at keeping your kids hypnotized and harmless, with three channels offering Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Cartoon network programming.

The system will add $470 to the sticker price, which includes one year of service. After that, it's $7 a month if you already have a Sirius audio subscription, $13 a month if you don't.
