If only in his own mind. When rumors started flying yesterday that Google/YouTube was about to announce the first annual YouTube Video Awards (press release here), Silicon Valley blogger and self-promoter Robert Scoble was quick to claim credit, saying that YouTube was really just copying his own Vloggies award. Never mind that the idea of a video award is, well, blindingly obvious. Now if YouTube had given their awards a dorky and nearly unpronouncable name like the "YouTublies," I might be willing to concede Scoble's point.
