Symantec's latest "state of spam" report (pdf) shows a sharp drop in adult messages, down to four percent of all spam. The report defines "adult" generously, too:

Adult -- E-mail attacks containing or referring to products or services intended for persons above the age of 18, often offensive or inappropriate. Examples: porn, personal ads, relationship advice

Maybe this will help reduce the psychic toll of spam, in some small way. Certainly the children must be safer now, as they probably won't fall for the phishing.
