The Philips 598 is the latest in gender-specific handsets. How do we know it's for girls? Because the phone's standard features have been augmented by such female-friendly ones as a women's a diary, a buying list, a discounts manager, a price table, a body weight index and basal metabolic rate measurement. Given that, we're somewhat mystified by the sedate black clamshell. Doesn't Philips know girls like colors? No word on pricing or availability yet.
