Nanjing Auto has finally rolled out the first Chinese-made MGs an MG TF sports car and two MG7 series saloons, which will be marketed in China under the name "Modern Gentleman."

State-owned Nanjing Auto bought MG Rover in 2005, assembly lines and all, for $104 million. The Chinese-made cars use the same engine technology as their British-made predecessors, and experts from the former MG plant in Longbridge were brought in to help produce them. The enormous factory was completed in just six months.

While Nanjing expects car-crazed China to be its biggest market, it also intends to open an assembly plant in Oklahoma sometime next year to serve U.S. car buyers. The company plans to produce 200,000 MGs a year.
