El Hijo del Santo, a masked Mexican wrestler, has teamed up with environmental non-profit group Wildcoast to fight on behalf of Baja California’s environment. He’s been making the rounds talking to children about preventing coastal contamination, as the San Diego/Tijuana coast continues to suffer from massive sewage contamination.
Professional wrestling, or lucha libre, has a huge following in Mexico, and as you can see from the image below, the kids are all eyes and ears for this guy!
After El Hijo del Santo gets a break from his busy schedule, he’s set to face off against a group of wrestlers disguised as environmental enemies, like “SewageMan” and the “The Pirate who Robbed Turtle Eggs”. Check out his promotional video...it is too good.
