I haven't been a real benchmark junkie in awhile, but there are times when I get back into it again. Such is the case withthis delightful article from the Norwegian IDG, which puts a brand-new MacBook Pro through its paces against a 1987 Macintosh SE. You can either read it in Norwegian or check out this translation. Here's what it boils down to: It takes longer for the 2007 Mac to do a few simple tasks than it does the 1987 counterpart. But the MacBook Pro is a zillion times faster otherwise. Obviously. Good graphs, though.
