F1 Ferraris Roar Through City Streets in Shell Ad

What do you get when you run historic Formula One Ferraris at top speed through city streets from Rome to Rio? You get the most expensive TV commercial ever made, and very possibly the most exciting. Here's the story from Partizan, which made the ad:

At last we can reveal the commercial that has kept Antoine Bardou Jacquet in a darkened edit suite recently — the mighty "Circuit" for Shell. Celebrating 60 years of collaboration between Shell and Ferrari, the film will be rolling out across the world's television screens soon.

The month-long shoot saw Antoine and the team, led by producer David Stewart, travelling to Rome, Monaco, Rio, Sydney, New York and Hong Kong. They finally crossed the finish line at The Mill, London, where the film was post-produced.

The folks at Partizan suggest you pump up the volume and drink in that Ferrari sound. You can also see this clip as Quicktime here.
