The Patent Office Wants You [27B Stroke 6]
Overburdened patent office workers are considering a new plan to get advice from the public on innovation. The aim is to avoid awarding patents to unscrupulous companies (and all the usual suspects do it) for which prior art or application-specific obviousness are in play. Democracy in government or free internship? If the process is made transparent (such as with a voting and commenting website) this will be awesome.
