If you ever find yourself shaking your head at the high prices of contemporary design, then look no further. Foldschool, a collection of free cardboard furniture made by the consumer, is a cheap alternative for good, sustainable design.

The downloadable designs are the work of Swiss-based independent architect Nicola Enrico Staubli. Through these DIY products, Foldschool’s aim is to “to provide a product at an affordable price through a smart manufacturing process”.
So far, the recyclable pieces include a stool, chair and rocker.

Now parents don’t have to worry about the kids dirtying up the furniture, and they’ve got a great project to work on together.
