First, we heard that video games gave people seizures. Then the voice of a host of "Entertainment Tonight" did. Now, tooth brushing is getting the blame for epileptic seizures:

The persistent rhythmic motions oftooth brushing appear to have triggered seizures in patients withreflex epilepsy, researchers here [Australia] reported.

Intwo adult men and one woman, tooth brushing appears to haveoverstimulated the primary somatosensory area of the brain, reportedWendyl D'Souza, M.D., of the University of Melbourne, and colleagues,
in the March 6 issue of Neurology.

And why would overstimulation of the brain be a problem? Because the patients all had brain lesions that affected the way their brains processed certain kinds of actions.

Doctors removed a lesion from at least one of the patients.
