This bike will cost you: $720,000, to be exact. Then again, how many motorcycles go from 0 to 250 mph in less than 20 seconds? The Acabion GTBO 450 lives up to its bullet-shaped fuselage with a top speed of 265, its superlight carbon-fiber honeycomb body and frame propelled by a 700hp turbocharged engine. The result is an absolutely insane power-to-weight ratio of 0.51 kg per horsepower. (You can get 550hp if you prefer ... but why?)
The Acabion GTBO is a hybrid, sort of. The main engine is a Acabion Hamamatsu-based dragster block, racing turbocharged with double intercooler, double injection, and "full dragster technology." It's also equipped with two Swiss MAXON electric engines for low-speed operation. Speaking of city driving, the GTBO is a two-plus-two, with sidewheels that drop down for easy maneuvering at more civilized speeds. Not that you'll ever actually do that.
Believe it or not, this rocketship is street legal. And since Swiss-based Acabion only plans to make 26 of them between now and 2011, it's a pretty sure bet you'll have the only one on your block.
