Didn’t get enough of a thrill peering over the edge of the Grand Canyon? How about walking 70 feet away from its rim to view it straight down from a glass walkway? The structure cost around $30 million to build, and was designed by Las Vegas-based MRJ Architects. Manufacturer Saint Gobain assures the U-shaped structure is safe even against 100 mph winds.
Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, was one of the first to walk out onto the structure during a “first walk” event for media and VIP.
