During the Tour of California, CSC will host a Google Maps mashup that lets fans follow the race. The race’s official site will also offer a tracking page powered by Yahoo Maps.

Computer Sciences Corporation developed the OmniLocation system to provide more-accurate field tracking than standard GPS units. It uses a complicated brew of protocols, satellites and servers to collect and distribute location data.

Team CSC’s Bobby Julich is one of the riders who will carry a new geolocation device under his seat during the 2007 Amgen Tour of California. Julich finished third in last year’s race.
