If you're a fairly long-time reader, you might remember the launch of a major charity drive here at Chez Cult of Mac six months ago. The First Ever Claire Danes/Apple/Cult of Mac Back to School Computer Challenge! (or TFECD/A/CoMBtSCC! if you're into brevity) set out to raise $15,000 for a variety of unfunded school technology programs based around Apple products.

And we did it. AND THEN SOME.

I'm here to tell you that you guys did more than help fulfill thisambitious project -- you exceeded it by an unbelievable 10 percent. Atthis point, we've raised (with matching funds from Claire Danes) morethan $16,500 for eight incredible projects. You guys are the bestreaders in the world -- I really can't say it too often.

And there's more to come, if you're still in need of a challenge. One project from the challenge, "An Apple Today Will Keep My Students Reading All the Way!", is currently $860 short. So if you didn't get the chance to contribute earlier, or if you are looking to contribute again, this is your opportunity.

Thanks again, guys. I'll post up thank you notes from the teachers who created the projects as they come in. I'm seriously in awe here.
