Peapod

Peapod Toys of Calgary, Alberta, has introduced the Peapod, an MP3 player designed specficially for infants and toddlers.

Kids will appreciate the Peapod's simple controls and built-in carrying handle, while parents will appreciate its built-in speaker. (No risk of headphone-induced tinnitis here.)

According to the company, the Peapod -- pictured here at the American International Toy Fair -- can store up to 2 hours of music, and will run for over 40 hours on a single AA battery.

Best of all, its soft rubber coating should make the device an excellent teething toy.
