Our colleagues over at Listening Post came across this gem for budding six-stringers:
TASCAM, a pioneer in affordable home multi-track recording, has released the first mp3 player made for musicians. The MP-GT1 is a mobile guitar trainer that teaches you by making it easier to play along with your favorite tunes. You can slow down riffs without altering the pitch, loop passages and pitch the songs up or down so you don't have to re-tune your guitar with each new song. You can even "cancel" out the guitar track, allowing you to supply the licks. The MP-GT1 also features mulitple built-in guitar effects. It will be available in Japan later this month, but there's no word on pricing.
