This Mercedes-Benz 300 SLS offered technologically advanced extras normally reserved for race cars during the mid-1950s, including its tubular-shaped chassis and direct fuel injection motor. While available as a street-legal, production model, the SLS shown here was driven by Paul O’Shea, who drove it to win the U.S. Class D championship in 1957.
