This week in Erratic Thoughts, we suggest an invention we'd like to share with the world. It probably won't surprise any of you that I'd like a home kit for flawless, reversible sex changes. Everybody wants to switch their sex once in a while, the same way we like to switch bikes. We want to zoom around on something shiny, and play with the cool new features, knobs and deelybobs.

So I'd like a device that will allow me to become a man whenever I want. I want to know what it's like to walk down the street after dark, not worried that some idiot will harass or rape me. I want to go to a gay bar and pick up the cutest little bear in the room. I want to go to a tech conference and not have anyone second-guess me because they don't think chicks like computers. Then I want to go home, take a shower, and use my home sex-change kit to become female again.

Unfortunately, sex changes today aren't as easy as the ones in the comic book/animated TV show *Ranma ½ *(pictured at right). In Ranma ½, the hero is a teenage boy martial artist named Ranma who merely has to dump cold water on himself to transform into a cute, buxom redheaded girl. (Hot water turns him back.) So the invention I bequeath to the world will be sex changes that are as easy and reversible as getting wet. And I want to buy them at Lush so they'll smell really good too.
