In a previous post, I asked whether having webbed fingers (as is now being theorized) might have affected Leonardo da Vinci's abilities as an artist.

Commenter Telanis provides what certainly sounds like a reasonable answer:

it probably wouldn't have hurt his ability, as painting mainly involves the thumb and first two fingers. actually it might have helped slightly -- it would have helped cancel out any shaking of the fingers

Anybody else want to weigh in on this?
