The 1959 DBR/250 represents Aston Martin's entry into the ranks of Grand Prix racing, with a 280-horsepower engine that the firm says made it the most powerful contender at the time. The tubular space frame exterior represents an emerging design of the time (think back to the cult 1960s T.V. classic, "The Prisoner"). In the mix is the Aston Martin green (I want to say it is a British Racing green, but this is a touchy subject) and aluminum body. Inside, there is a 2.5 straight-cylinder engine with twin-cam shafts, which could take the car over 160 mph speeds. Four models were built, and only three remain intact.
