BMW is pushing its remote control car technologies lately. A few months ago, it touted a robotically controlled system that parked your car in a garage as you stood outside and watched. The bot-control parking has yet to be commercialized, though.
While less ambitious, BMW's upcoming 3 Series convertible will allow you to open and shut the convertible hard top with a remote control. It should come in handy when you're inside and you want to close the top from your living room or office. Too bad the remote can't be used to load and unload your golf clubs from the trunk.
