You know what's been the most fun part in watching the Apple Rumor mill grow and change since 1995? Seeing the bogus rumors get increasingly sophisticated. Back then, you couldn't even get a credible fake photo. Now, the only way to tell a real video concept render from a fake one is through the plausibility (or lack thereof) of the clip's content.

Take the above attempt at an Apple ad for an iPhone. It looks pretty good, but it also makes no sense at all. Yeah, a semi-circular screen makes a ton of sense. I know I would love to see my movies get distorted to meet a novel shape!

The gold standard for iPhone concept videos is still this amazing take by Christopher DeLaurentis. Nothing else had me fooled for even a second.
