Well, we all know from the rantings of a very informed employee of Creative that hard disk-based iPods don't work at the summit of Mt. Everest. Now we have proof that they do work in zero-gravity.

An eagle-eyed blogger at SpaceRef picked out a 4G iPod from the noise in this image of astronaut Thomas Reiter taken on board the International Space Station. As noted, it's attached to a Belkin external battery pack. Which speaks to one sad inevitability: Even in space the batteries on 4Gs are a joke.
